Shift: 40hr rotation

Majority of hours will be Monday-Friday days with 24/7 accountability to team.

Job Summary

The Nursing Director for Interventional Radiology is the leader of the clinical discipline of nursing with administrative, fiscal, and personnel accountability in the designated clinical area. The Nursing Director is responsible for creating and maintaining a therapeutic, healing, patient- and family- centered care environment. S/he participates in the development, refinement, communication and actualization of the Department of Nursing (DON) vision, professional practice model, and relationship-based care delivery system. As the clinical leader of the discipline, the Nursing Director is responsible for establishing and maintaining the standards of nursing care and practice. The Nursing Director establishes and maintains true collaborative relationships with nursing staff, all disciplines and departments necessary to foster optimal patient outcomes and a professional practice environment. S/he partners with inter-professional and intra-professional leadership to set mutual goals that advance teamwork, interdisciplinary learning, just culture and the environment of care.

Qualifications

Education

Master's Degree Nursing required or Bachelor's Degree Nursing required and Master's Degree Related Field of Study required

Licenses and Credentials

Registered Nurse [RN - State License] - Generic - HR Only required Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support [ACLS (AHA)] - American Heart Association (AHA) preferred Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred

Experience

  • Current certification required or to be attained within two-year period from 10-1-18 or from date of hire after 10-1-18. Certification must be maintained while employed in this position.
  • Knowledge of procedural care required
  • Radiology experience preferred
  • 3-5 years progressive nursing leadership required

  • Strong commitment to clinical excellence.
  • Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
